  • The Best Sephora Price Tracker

The Lipstick Effect shows how makeup purchases increase during recessionary periods. What’s interesting is it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy, so I curious how prices change at one the largest retailers Sephora.

While it’s definitely possible to manually check prices for a basket of goods by refreshing pages once a day or weekly, it’s incredibly laborious.

PriceLasso has a Sephora price tracker that makes it super simple, by checking prices for you on specific Sephora landing pages, and then alerting you when prices actually drop.

  • The Best Alo Yoga Price Tracker

It’s interesting to see how often and how frequently Alo Yoga prices drop for you favorite yoga gear.

I was manually checking the pages at https://www.aloyoga.com/collections/womens-sale and https://www.aloyoga.com/collections/mens-sale-all

I found it far easier to use PriceLasso for automatically checking Alo Yoga Prices with email alerts.

With that I could see that Alo Yoga items somewhat randomly go on sale, and they could be 20-% -40% off. The size options definitely became more limited as items went onto sale as presumably they are now on clearance.

  • The Best Allbirds Price Tracker

I was curious how often the Allbirds changes prices on shoes like the Tree Runners, so I started using PriceLasso to track the Allbirds prices.

Interestingly enough, when one Allbirds show color went on sale, they all went on sale.

And this was independent of the shoe size, even though I assume some of the price drops were because these items are on clearance or not returning.

I loved how PriceLasso could easily watch the prices and alert you when they dropped, and the price history charts were great to see the actual price swings.

  • The Best eBay Price Tracker

In my time using eBay for the last 2 decades I’ve seen a huge amount of pricing strategies employed by sellers for buy now listings.

The most obvious one is to start high, and if nobody bites, lower the price.

Knowing this, I started watching some listings I was interested in, and waiting for the price to drop, and it was wild how often it happened.

Sometimes within hours, and other times it might take a few weeks, but seems like even small eBay sellers don’t want to sit on inventory that might be taking up room in their garage.

I’ve been using PriceLasso to price track these eBay listings, and love the price history charts that are auto created as well.

Really nice to not have to remember to manually check eBay for each product I’m watching and to just get automatic alerts.

  • The Best Best Buy Price Tracker

As an engineer I also tend to be a early tech and gadget adopter, and as such try out the latest and greatest electronics.

Best Buy often has the stuff I want, but not always at the prices I’m willing to pay, and I found that if I am willing to wait a few weeks or even a month or two, the prices could easily drop 20-40%, depending on the electronics category.

Checking prices manually is rough and one more thing I had to remember what to do until I started using the PriceLasso Best Buy price tracker.

I’m now able to simply get email alerts when the prices of a specific Best Buy product drops

  • The Best Sam’s Club Price Tracker

Shopping at Sam’s Club can be a great way to save by buying bulk items at a cheaper price, especially if there aren’t any Costco warehouses close to you.

Using the PriceLasso Sam’s Club price tracker, you can easily set up alerts for multiple warehouse products and get notified via email when they drop in price.

By default, PriceLasso sets a 10% discount threshold and you can customize it to any percentage or raw number that fits your budget. This is especially useful for tracking deals leading up to big sales events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Additionally, PriceLasso provides price history charts, so you can see past price fluctuations and confirm whether you’re getting the best possible deal. Instead of manually checking prices every day, let the tracker do the work for you!

If you’re like me, rather than check the Instant Savings book, I actually use PriceLasso to see which items I care about are now on sale.

  • Which Cheesecake Factory Cakes have Gelatin (Kosher, Halal, Vegetarian, Vegan cakes)

I couldn’t find any recent blog posts about which Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes and cakes have gelatin, so I reached out directly to Cheesecake Factory to learn more.

Update: Here is the list of the most up to date Cheesecake Factory Cheesecakes that contain gelatin for Kosher, Halal, and Vegetarian readers.

Here is the response I received (which should help you determine which cheesecakes are “kosher” (don’t have animal gelatin):

Although our menu items, and desserts, are not certified Kosher, not all of our cheesecakes contain gelatin. A small number of them do contain Halal beef gelatin. As with most high end pastries and desserts, when needed, we use gelatin over a host of gums and artificial additives.

  • Keepa for Walmart

I was recently looking to buy snow chains and wanted to compare Amazon and Walmart. I saw they were fiercely fighting day in day out often price matching each other. I wanted to find a Walmart price tracker that works similar to how Keepa does for Amazon. While Keepa works well for tracking Amazon prices, Keepa is only for Amazon, and doesn’t work on other marketplaces. I saw there is functionality to also get eBay listings from Amazon, but haven’t had the best of luck with it. If you’re shopping on Walmart and hoping for the same kind of price tracking magic, Keepa can’t help you.

I tried looking for a Walmart price tracker, and couldn’t find something that had the same capabilities as Keepa for Amazon. That’s where PriceLasso comes in. It’s like the Walmart-specific version of Keepa, and it’s a game-changer for smart shoppers. With PriceLasso, you can track the prices of Walmart products, so you’ll know if you’re actually getting a good deal or just falling for clever marketing. Even better, it lets you set up alerts for price drops, so you’ll never miss a chance to save.

Walmart’s prices can fluctuate just like Amazon’s, sometimes in lockstep with Amazon prices, and without a tool like PriceLasso, it’s hard to know if you’re buying at the right time. I’ve seen cases where the price on Walmart and Amazon is completely neck and neck, often different by a few pennies, until one drops by a few dollars, and the other will then match again.

So if you’re already using Keepa for Amazon, add PriceLasso to your toolkit for Walmart.

  • CamelCamelCamel for Walmart

If you’ve ever used CamelCamelCamel, you know it’s like having a bargain-hunting sidekick for Amazon. It tracks price history, sends you price-drop alerts, and makes sure you never pay full price when you don’t have to. But here’s the thing, if you’re hoping to bring CamelCamelCamel’s price-monitoring magic to Walmart, you’re out of luck. CamelCamelCamel is strictly an Amazon-only deal.

Bummer, right? Especially since Walmart often has some killer deals, too.

But don’t worry, there’s a fix for that! Meet PriceLasso, it’s basically the Walmart version of CamelCamelCamel. PriceLasso gives you price history on Walmart items, so you can see if today’s “deal” is actually a steal or just clever marketing. It also sends you alerts when prices drop, so you can pounce on a sale before it’s gone.

Here’s why this is awesome: Walmart’s pricing can fluctuate just as much as Amazon’s. Knowing when to hit Add to Cart can save you a chunk of change. Plus, with PriceLasso, you’re not just guessing—you’re shopping smart.

So, while CamelCamelCamel remains king of Amazon deals, don’t overlook PriceLasso when you’re shopping at Walmart. Between the two, your wallet will be breathing a sigh of relief.

    Happy deal-hunting!

  • Price tracking dental supplies

If you’re trying to keep a dental office stocked, there are lots of different materials and supplies you need.

Many are from specialized labs and vendors like composites and loopes, dental dams and such.

But many dental supplies are also commodities sold at stores like Walmart, Costco, and Amazon. This includes printer ink, printer paper, gloves, masks, and cotton rolls.

According to Joyful Teeth, you can save up to 30-50% on printer ink alone by price tracking stores like Office Depot.

I’ve seen another 10-20% savings by stocking up at the right time.

It’s especially interesting to see the price of different types of crowns, with PFM crowns typically the cheapest.
