If you’re currently using Channel Intelligence for shopping engines like Google Shopping, Bing Shopping, and others, you have probably been notified that Channel Intelligence is moving to a more self-serve model for all but it’s largest retailers.
This move is a little surprising since Google acquired Channel Intelligence back in 2013, presumably to acquire more merchants for Google Shopping. Even more surprising was that many retailers stayed with Channel Intelligence after the acquisitiong, knowing that Google as the owner, is far less likely to recommend an omni-channel approach, and instead just recommend Google Shopping.
